Testing Ubuntu 9.04 On My Acer Notebook

My Acer Notebook Specification- Model: Aspire 3620
- CPU: Intel Celeron 1.50Ghz
- Memory: 512 + 256MB
- HDD: 160GB
- Download the iso image from the ubuntu website. (Using my WinXP desktop)
- Burn the iso to CD
- Insert the CD to my notebook
- Follow the instruction. Very user friendly setup.
- Key in the information needed.
- And the installation begin.
- After restart for the 1st time, my ubuntu is working fine.
- My wifi not functioning...ahhhh. Solve the problem with downloading the driver using "System ---> Administration ---> Hardware driver". At this step I'm using my LAN cable to access the internet.
- The application "Hardware Drivers" detect my wifi Broadcom B43, and the installation success.
- Now my wifi is working fine.
- My firefox not showing "flash" application.
- Solve the problem "System ---> Administration ---> Synaptic Package Manager"
- Using the application I'm searching for "flashplugin-installer" and install it.
- Now I can browse any flash application using my Firefox
- My firefox again not showing java application.
- I'm following the guide provide by ubuntugeek.
- Just "Application ---> Accessories ---> Terminal"
- Using the terminal key in " sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin sun-java6-fonts "
- Follow the instructions after that.
- Tarraa.. no more problem for my java.
