1. Find alphacontent.functions.php in --> components\com_alphacontent\assets\includes

2. Edit alphacontent.functions.php and find this:

echo $noticeACCopyright;

DELETE it without changing anything else.

* You also can just comment it out. (/* */)

Linux Server Setup - eBox

I planning to setup a server for a office. The server will do the job as DHCP server and HTTP Proxy server. eBox is my choice after do same research about it. Thanks google! eBox is not the best but I can give a try.

My Server Specification

Brand : KOMNAS
CPU : Intel Xeon 2.8Ghz support dual cpu
RAM : 512MB x 2 units DDR RAM
HDD : Seagate 36.5GB SCSI
Mobo : Intel Server Board

eBox Setup Procedure.

Download eBox iso from eBox website (use my ubuntu lappy for this task)
Burn the iso to a CD
Power on the Server and insert the CD
The installation begin.....before that
My eth0 plug to my ADSL and eth1 plug to a switch
eth0 IP = 192.168.1.10 (Internet)
eth1 IP = 192.168.10.1 (LAN)
The installation need me to fill some question...just a basic like password etc..
The CD driver eject the cdrom ---> need to remove the installation cd
Reboot the server
The installation continue
Insert back the installation CD --> required to continue the installation
And my eBox server is complete now!
Wow I made it.
Let's try the server

Problem #1

Using the LAN desktop I'm trying to access the eBox web management --> https://192.168.10.1
Fail!!! why, because the DHCP is not configure..so need to manually configure the network
Desktop eth0 IP = 192.168.10.5
Now I can access the eBox control panel --> https://192.168.10.1
The default password is ebox
Yeaaaa.....

Problem #2

The DCHP server not configure....
Configure it using the ebox control panel
Success...Now I setup my desktop eth to configure auto
Yeaa.....my DHCP is working fine now

Problem #3

Time to configure my transparent HTTP proxy now
My desktop can't access either http or https website like yahoo mail, gmail and other.
Do this to solve it
--> Firewall --> Packet Filter --> Filter rules for internal networks = ACCEPT ANY ANY ANY Allow all outgoing
Now my Transparent HTTP Proxy server is working fine.
My desktop automatically use the proxy without any setting because it TRANSPARENT PROXY....is working great now..

Howto Remove Apparmor - Ubuntu

AppArmor is a security extension that should provide extended security to your Ubuntu system. From howtoforge.com, it usually causes more problems than advantages (think of it after you have done a week of trouble-shooting because some service wasn't working as expected, and then you find out that everything was ok, only AppArmor was causing the problem). Therefore disable it.

We can disable it like this:

/etc/init.d/apparmor stop
update-rc.d -f apparmor remove
apt-get remove apparmor apparmor-utils

Your now successfully remove apparmor from your system.

Testing Ubuntu 9.04 On My Acer Notebook

Today I'm trying to test drive the new Ubuntu version. I'm introducing to you ubuntu 9.04 desktop version.My Acer Notebook Specification

Model: Aspire 3620
CPU: Intel Celeron 1.50Ghz
Memory: 512 + 256MB
HDD: 160GB

Installation step by steps

Download the iso image from the ubuntu website. (Using my WinXP desktop)
Burn the iso to CD
Insert the CD to my notebook
Follow the instruction. Very user friendly setup.
Key in the information needed.
And the installation begin.
After restart for the 1st time, my ubuntu is working fine.

Problems #1

My wifi not functioning...ahhhh. Solve the problem with downloading the driver using "System ---> Administration ---> Hardware driver". At this step I'm using my LAN cable to access the internet.
The application "Hardware Drivers" detect my wifi Broadcom B43, and the installation success.
Now my wifi is working fine.

Problem #2

My firefox not showing "flash" application.
Solve the problem "System ---> Administration ---> Synaptic Package Manager"
Using the application I'm searching for "flashplugin-installer" and install it.
Now I can browse any flash application using my Firefox

Problem #3

My firefox again not showing java application.
I'm following the guide provide by ubuntugeek.
Just "Application ---> Accessories ---> Terminal"
Using the terminal key in " sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin sun-java6-fonts "
Follow the instructions after that.
Tarraa.. no more problem for my java.

View Hidden Files - WinXP

At first I'm using folder options to view the hidden files options. Using the folder Options, I cannot get the Hidden File & Folders Box to stay checked. I check it and close the options box and re-open it and it is un-checked again. At last the solution is:

1. Start --> Run
2. Type = regedit
3. Find

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL

4. Find 'CheckedValue' at the right box
5. Double click the 'CheckedValue' and change the value to 1
6. Press OK

Here you are. You can view all your hidden files now.
